MAMBAJAO, Camiguin, June 8 (PIA) — All 55 elementary schools here have recently undergone evaluation for the Essential Health Care Package (EHCP) implementation to sustain efforts in promoting health and hygiene values and habits among school children.
Actual evaluation results bared that 31 or fifty six percent (56%) of the schools evaluated shows notable efforts in implementation.
This means, the students with the supervision of the teachers, diligently adheres to the tooth brushing and hand washing schedule.
Apart from the regular group activity, the provincial evaluation team also checks on the presence of health corners, functional drinking and wash facilities in schools.
EHCP Provincial Program Coordinator Thelma G. Dagpin said the program is on seventh year now and they have been going around for the evaluation regularly, at least twice in a year.
“We do pre and post evaluation to ensure it’s been carried out well, as well as, name outstanding implementers to encourage non-performing schools full compliance,” she said. - From piacamiguin.wordpress.com
