A grand view of the night sky is how the province likes to keep its visitors busy at night, a relaxing view not only of the majestic volcano, but also of the stars and constellations.
The island prides of an amazing plateau and zero light pollution, a perfect eco-destination to house an observatory to introduce the universe to tourists and locals alike.
Sangguniang Bayan member Raquel B. Ranara said this will provide opportunity to increase people’s awareness on the unique balance of the universe.
To date, the province has already formed a team from the members of the Science Advisers Association of the Philippines, Camiguin Chapter to handle the project and were all trained recently by experts from the Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAGASA). - From piacamiguin.wordpress.com
